This morning Monday 18th August 2025, four of our club members popped up to Ashurst Beacon, in Beacon Country Park, to attempt a POTA (Parks On The Air) Activation. Nigel (2E0NRS) was working 2m and managed a total of seven contacts, whilst Graham (2E0JNF) was working 20m and managed seven contacts also. Additionally, park-to-park contacts were made between Beacon Country park (GB-1281) and Snowdonia Nation Park (GB-0995). Steve (M0XCM) and John (G0JJL) also came along to lend support, but mainly to eat bacon butties!
