SLARC hosted the final Region 3 event of the season at Beacon Country Park this weekend. The weather was not kind during the day with most of the competitors getting very wet indeed. There was a mixed bunch of people at the event. Those who were competing for nation points and others who were having a go for the first time. The competitors set very good times considering the weather conditions, ranging from 50 minutes to just under two hours. Whilst the have a go people, were setting a slightly more leisurely pace. Many thanks to the SLARC club members who came out to support the event and have a go too whilst braving the weather. Whilst this event was the last region 3 event of the season, SLARC will be hosting “have a go” events during the winter. Keep an eye out for the next event!
