We are a friendly and rapidly growing group which meet every Monday for evening net night using GB7HN 430.875 . Along with promoting the hobby we offer online training via Jitsi to help members gain their foundation, intermediate or full amateur radio licence. We welcome all potential members from those just starting out wishing to gain their amateur radio license to those that want to progress their next licence level.

Our aim is to support, educate, encourage and nurture an interest in Amateur Radio with a full programme of courses for Foundation, Intermediate and Full Licence levels taught by fully qualified tutors.
Your questions answered
There is more to amateur radio than operating your own station and contacting others worldwide. Some of our members build their own equipment and antennas while others specialise in certain forms of communication such as analogue, digital or Morse code or even amateur space satellites communication not to mention contact with the International Space Station (which carries an amateur radio station).
Our members form a collective wealth of knowledge and experience across many aspects of amateur radio so it’s quite possible your questions can be satisfactorily answered.
It’s not all work and no play
As well as field days, family orientated social gatherings and generally enjoying ourselves the group love to organise and take part in special events, rallies and demonstrations throughout the year so there is something for everyone at SLARC.
